Professional biography

MA in Maritime Archeology at University College London, Professional Degree in Archaeology at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, professional photographer and diver. My experience range between archaeological research and CRM projects (land and underwater), public archaeology and lately on public policy related to Archaeological Cultural Heritage as Head of the General Directorate of Archaeological Heritage.

My interest in underwater archaeology goes back to 2006, taking part in the first underwater Archaeology Project in Peru. My experience in this area has enabled me to be at the head of different underwater project in Perú, research and CRM as well. Moreover with other colleagues we have founded the “Centro Peruano de Arqueologia Marítima y Subacuática” (CPAMS). My field of research is Pre Hispanic Navigation in the Andean Region, Public Archaeology in Maritime Archaeology, Shipwreck Archaeology, and underwater Archaeology at High Altitude Lakes.
